What is ABC?
Softools ABC (App Builder Certification) is an easy way to learn how to build no-code apps on Softools. Through step-by-step modules and a personal Softools learning environment, the ABC programme teaches you the skills you need to unlock the power of no-code.
How Does it Work?
The Basic Course includes 5-10 hours of course work and provides the skills to create a fully functioning application that works on any device. Example applications include risk registers, action logs and audits/assessments.
The Advanced Course includes 20-30 hours of course work covering advanced functions like workflow, expressions, integrations and dashboards. This functionality delivers complex solutions.
The Expert Badge is reserved for app builders who have demonstrated sustained proficiency and regular deployments across their orgranisations.
Who is it for?
One of the most common questions we’re asked is “What skills or experience do I need to build an app in a low/no code platform?”
The short answer, is, well, not much. If you know how to use Excel, you will learn Softools in mere hours. A lot of work has gone into making the course easy to follow, and the platform easy to use! 😁
"What a short answer!" we hear you cry! And rightly so. You don't need to know how to make every App in the world, and understand all processes, before you start. You don’t need to know any proceses, in fact, although having an undertsanding of a process you’d like to improve, and how, will help!
Once you know how to put an App together (we'll teach you), all you need to know is one business process, and how you wish it were done differently. You will take to Softools easily if you know, or can learn, the following:
👀 Understand the business processes to be digitised (turned into an App). This eliminates the need for knowledge transfer or a detailed specification.
🔎 Logic and analysis: The ability to break things down into pieces and to think in systems. If you can create or grasp a complex flowchart, you're off to a great start.
💡 Creativity: Go beyond the obvious, identifying non-standard cases and conditions.
In summary - anyone! Whether you’re not too experienced with technology, or a qualified coder, Softools ABC is designed to get everyone on the same footing!
